|SANDY CARLSON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR STONEY BROOK SENIOR LIVING
Sandy joined Stoney Brook as the Executive Director in February 2011. She has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has served in such roles as Admissions Director, Administrator, and Regional Marketing Director. She is very involved in the community and represents Stoney Brookthrough several local associations and professional memberships. She has a Marketing Degree from Louisiana Tech University and obtained her Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator License at McClennon Community College in Waco, Texas. She enjoys camping, shopping, sports, singing and being involved in her church. She and her husband live in Belton with their two sons.
|PHYLLIS CHISM, ASSISTED LIVING DIRECTOR
Phyllis Chism was born and raised in Magnolia, Arkansas. She graduated from Magnolia High School in 1984 and went on to earn a degree in Sales and Marketing from Oil Belt Vo-Tech in El Dorado, Arkansas, in 1988. In 1998, Phyllis was led into the medical field while preparing to take on the responsibility of caring for her father, the late Melvin Williams. Her love, compassion, and desire to care for others caused her to become certified as a Restorative Aide, Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medication Aide, and earn an associate’s degree in Medical Assisting. Phyllis has been married to her husband, Gerrand, for 20 years. Gerrand is a First Sergeant in the United States Army, and they call Killeen Texas, “home.” Together, Gerrand and Phyllis have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
|MELLISSA RUSSELL, BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER
Melissa is the Business Office Manager at Stoney Brook. She was born and raised in Temple, Tx. After graduating from Temple High School in 1988 she later attended Temple College with studies in Human Resource. She is the youngest of five children. Melissa has twenty years of experience in the Administrative and Human Resource field. She has one son. She enjoys being with family and friends, shopping, running and reading.

I thought the staff that worked there at Stoney Brook was very attentive and very supportive of each person. I didn’t get to see the rooms, but they do have some cottages that were bigger. They showed me their schedule, like there is a group playing bingo then after about an hour another group…
Stoney Brook is lovely and beautiful. The only thing wrong with it is that it only had one and a half bath. Everything I know about it is good. They also have a skilled nursing facility as well. The sanitation is very good. It is very neat. I would recommend this facility to others.
